It's clear that I won- Pacquiao

The victory of Manny Pacquiao over Juan Manuel Marquez was a controversial issue both here in abroad. In fact, in ABS-CBN's poll report last night, November 14, Monday, 51 % of Filipino text voters were in favor of his victory while 49% Filipino voters were uncertain of his win over Marquez. However, based on the result 0f CompuBox Punch Stat report, it has been made official that Pacquio won the fight. Meanwhile, Marquez and his camp believes that he should have won the fight as what the audience have seen in his performance during the fight. "We won. Like the people was singing on the 12th round, yes we won, yes we won..only the three people there didn't see the same thing" said Marquez. Moments after the fight, the Mexican boxer also stated with dismay that he refuses to accept the money because he wants the belt. "We have to accept that's a part of the game, and the fight is close but its very clear that I won the fight even if they're gonna watch the replay, this is the sport," Pacquiao said. Meanwhile, some boxing analysts were also divided in their beliefs regarding the result of the Pacquio-Marquez trilogy. " I thought that Marquez made it very very difficult for Manny to gauge distances, I think Manny was a little indecisive on what to do, I thought that he was thrown off," said boxing analyst, Lem Satterfield. Another analyst also said that the recent fight was not the best fight of Pacquiao. In a controversial fight like this, the result of the CompoBox Punch Stat report is being taken consideration to distinguish the the performance of the boxers, and learn who really won the fight. Based on the stat results, it was learned that Manny was the most active in the whole bout. On the average punch count, Pacquiao had 49 punches per round while Marquez only had 36. With the overall power punches executed, Pacquiao's record also showed the greatest with 49% power punches over Marquez's 39%. Based on the numbers, and the rules and criteria of professional boxing, it is clear that Manny Pacquiao is the rightful winner although it is true that it was a close fight and Marquez showed a great improvement and strength in his final attempt to get the title of WBO welterweight champion from Manny "pacman" Pacquiao.

Typhoon Pedring overflowed Manila Bay

I just saw this pictures today shared by a friend on Facebook. And it was a big surprise! It's probably the first time a typhoon floods Roxas Boulevard, Manila. I got the same feeling when Ondoy hit the North 2 years ago. I live here in Cavite, which is 14.1 kilometers away from Manila Bay. We've moved here 3 years ago to escape from the polluted and populated city. Our parents, siblings and relatives live there, thank God they are okay.
I usually write my blog here in Filipino but since I also want to share this to my foreign friends and students, I decided to write it in English. These past few days, internet connection was so bad and I missed a lot of classes not to mention triggered my asthma to attack. Many things happen all around the world which seems to happen for the first time. And this is one of those. In my 32 years of existence ( Venus Raj? eheheh) , this is the first time I've ever seen a storm flooding the famous Roxas Boulevard. It looked like a mini-tsunami to me.
What's amazing is, the people who were able to enjoy it, not thinking about the danger it can cause their lives.
What's not new, is the SMILE that you can see on the Filipinos faces amidst the disaster. Stupidity? I think not. Among the few great things about us, Filipinos is that, we are POSITIVE and we SMILE our problems away. " Bayanihan" or helping others is natural for us. I remember, just yesterday, my Japanese chatmate asked me, "why are you so kind?"... well, I know for some people, kind gestures especially thru internet is too good to be true and it might have a catch. With a smile, again, I told him, I'm really like that and as proof I showed him my website with some pictures of me and my foreign students who came here to meet me in person. Back to the storm. Well, today is a sunny day, Roxas Boulevard is back to normal. People seemed to wake up after a bad dream. My asthma is gone, too, for now. However, the weather forecast says there are 2 typhoons coming soon. How do we prepare? First, we PRAY. Then, we prepare an emergency kit with all the things we'd need. We prepare of houses, etc. And we prepare ourselves.
I think that, natural disasters are like traitors. But still, I believe that if we dwell in the house of the Lord, we'll be safe.

Nora Aunor. model ng YOSI?

Ano ba yan?

October 21, 2011- END OF THE WORLD?!

According to Harold Camping at mga kasamahan nito, May 21 was just the start of the countdown. And he finally came up with a date which is , October 21. Indeed, the world is changing, but not our GOD. His spirit surrounds us, just accept him as your savior by saying , "Oh Lord Jesus!" and feel his presence in your life. Don't wait for the end brothers and sisters before you accept Christ. The time is now. God Bless Us.
