US SATELLITE DEBRIS SEEN IN CAVITE, PHILIPPINES

As I write this, I am regretting not having the time to get my videocam and record what I and my neighbors have seen. I think we just saw the satellite's debris fall from the sky. It happened just 15 minutes ago, when my dog barked while looking up. I decided to go out and check where a reddish light is coming from. Outside our house here in Cavite, Philippines, some of our neighbors were curious and they were all pointing at the sky. There I saw a small burning orange thing that fell from the sky so fast. I really regret not being able to take a picture or video of it. Well, I just wish no one gets hurt by it and I hope that it lands on water. It seems to go somewhere in the north. I couldn't describe the feeling I had as I was looking at it. It's the first time I ever saw something like that which seemed to look small down here but was able to cause a bright reddish light as it passed above our subdivision. Of course, I was scared. But all I did was pray. My son asked me, "mom, what are we going to do?" I told him, let's just go back inside and pray to God. According to the news, it was the 20-year old satellite of US that was set up in space to monitor the atmosphere of the earth. The last fall of satellite was back in 1979 and there was no damage reported. Strange things happen everyday. Things that we have not seen or heard from our elders before. So what should we do? Many of my friends say, it's cool and it's nothing. But, for me, it means a lot. I think that we should learn to appreciate each second of our life and not waste a moment of it.
